Het gebeurt op 31 oktober 1963: Halloween. De zesjarige Michael Myers slacht doodkalm zijn zus af. Vijftien jaar later ontsnapt hij uit een psychiatrische gevangenis. Hij houdt nooit meer op met moorden. Halloween 2002. Een groep studenten brengt de nacht door in het vervallen ouderlijk huis van Michael Myers. Hun belevenissen zijn live te zien op internet. Het huis zelf is vies, donker, al decennia onbewoond en doodeng. Dan valt de duisternis in. De studenten verkennen voorzichtig het huis. Meer hoeven ze niet te doen. De kijkers op internet volgen alles. Dan verschijnt er een man met een wit masker in beeld. Michael Myers is thuis.
