Een gezin is op vakantie op de Bahama's. Na een bootreis die verkeerd afloopt stranden zij op een afgelegen eiland. Ze bevinden zich ver van de bewoonde wereld en hebben geen voedsel en water. Na enkele dagen komt het gezin in contact met twee lokale vissers die bereid zijn hen te helpen tegen een vergoeding van één miljoen dollar. De situatie escaleert.
